Hi camera nerds!
Over the last few weeks, we've been receiving items so we can build some sets of kits to send out to our reviewers. One of the things that we've been working on is some small circuit boards for power distribution and remote camera triggering. Well, last week the first batch of boards arrived and we started assembling them by hand. For larger production runs, this task is done by pick and place robots.
Boards ready for hand assembly.
Applying solder paste to the camera trigger boards.
Some of the components are so small, if you drop them they flutter to the ground!
Components placed and ready for cooking!
Believe it or not, we use a $20 kitchen skillet to melt the solder paste! This works extremely well for small batch runs like this.
Some finished boards.
New boards with their housing components ready for assembly!
Thanks
